The food is amazing! Got the penne vodka with shrimp, Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and Boom boom shrimp. Must try's!!! They have many other varieties of delicious dishes on the menu. Check out City Tavern and you'll be back for more!

Had cinco estralles (skirt steak, shrimp & bacon) with rice & beans. It used to be $15 back in the day. $38.99 now. A good portion of skirt steak. Cooked perfectly medium. Rice & beans great. Will be back.

I highly recommend City Tavern in Elizabeth, NJ! Every visit is a great one. The food is always delicious no matter what we order. We're never disappointed. The ambiance is stunning and there's an ample amount of parking available. One of thing that standouts about City Tavern is the attentive service by the owner. She's always present and makes sure that the service is top-notch. You can see the owner and staff, they genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction. This place is a gem that never disappoints us. Whether you're looking for a memorable dining experience or simply craving exceptional food, this is the place to go!

2/24 great food, amazing service, and the best company a girl can ask for. Chicken with garlic sauce was delicious skirt steak seasoned just right, sides were just as good! Will definitely be back soon, maybe with the smaller Sangria

Good food in an unexpected location. Everything we had was so yummy, but I must say the garlic bread and the garlic shrimp were the best bite of the night.

This place is located downtown Elizabeth, if you're coming on the late weekend you will find street parking. We were seated right away. This is the first time I have been to a place that had different sizes of Sangria we ordered the large red, and are we glad we did... so good! We started with the pulpo al plancha it was so flavorful and tender that I only realized when was we were almost done that I didn't take a pic!! We shared the Parrillada Rostado and the Paella. The serving sizes were huge and the food was phenomenal. Our waitress was absolutely amazing I wish I got her name because she provided us with one of the best dining experiences ever!!! If you are in the mood for some good food, great sangria, outstanding service, you need to run here. You will thank me! You're welcome

This place is awesome the food and service is great.. My kids love their chicken wings and you have to try entraña al patron one of my favorites.. the service is on point you feel like family here. Highly recommended

A family owned business, operated with love and care this place is great for a quick bite or a great meal with the family. Our drinks were strong and delicious, we got the old-fashioned and also a Caipirinha! So delicious. We then started with the sautéed chorizo, and the choripapa, both great apps. For dinner we had the arros con pollo, just like how my grandma used to make! And the skirt steak sautéed. Also there is a lounge connected in the back called THE ANNEX. Definitely worth checking out. if you are looking for a fun and chill vibe, either for a night out or after dinner there are some amazing cocktails and tapas located right in the back! I got to try almost all the drinks and my favorite was the black crocodile oh my god so delicious not to mention the glass was fire! For tapas I had the pasta, the pork barrel buns, and the polenta with the Ropa Vieja on top this was my favorite I actually ate the entire thing! All the drinks were incredible the OG is also amazing! Check out the amazing food and atmosphere !
